PSYC 490 - Seminar in Child Maltreatment and Developmental Psychopathology

First Semester. This seminar explores research and theory about the effects of maltreatment on children and adolescents. We will look at incidence rates, abuser characteristics, and definitions of child abuse. A developmental psychopathology framework is used to understand the unique and common effects of various forms of maltreatment at particular developmental periods in childhood.
Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisites: PSYC 100, PSYC 216 or consent of the instructor. Enrollment limit: 15
