ARTS 208 - Colloquium in Architecture

Second Semester, 1st module, Feb 9-11. A colloquium with the architect Jessica Sheridan, exposing facets of architectural practice not covered in Oberlin’s curriculum. Meeting Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and Sunday, this intense minicourse has four parts: 1) discussion of training and career paths in architecture; 2) a workshop on application portfolios for graduate schools of design; 3) visiting Coop Himmelb(l)au’s addition to the Akron Art Museum; 4) a design charette for intensive student work on individual projects.
