An introduction to Greek history, from the prehistoric period to the rise of Rome. Special emphasis will be given to the study of the ancient sources, especially Herodotus and Thucydides, as we attempt to reconstruct the political, social, and constitutional history of this tremendously vital period. Offered in alternate years. Enrollment Limit: 55. Prerequisites & Notes Note: May count toward a history major.
