ENVS 293 - Practicum in Contemporary Agrarianism Semester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 3 Hours Attribute: 3 SS
This course exemplifies Oberlin’s tradition of Learning and Labor through an integrated study of contemporary agrarianism and its application to Oberlin’s own farm and local food system. This course will link classical agrarian perspectives with modern efforts to re-invigorate local food systems through urban agriculture, regional food systems, and ecological farm design. The course will combine readings, discussions and working laboratories at the farm. Enrollment Limit: 12. Instructor: B. Masi Prerequisites & Notes ENVS 101 and BIOL 120. Consent of the instructor is required.
