ENVS 292 - Practicum in Agro-Ecology Semester Offered: First Semester Credits (Range): 3 Hours Attribute: 3 NS
The field of agro-ecology considers the sustainability of our food system by applying an ecological framework to the production of food. Agro-ecology is inherently interdisciplinary and considers the integration of farm ecosystems with broader food systems. This course will utilize the Jones Farm as a focal point for understanding the intersection between local ecology, farm systems, and broader food systems. The course will combine readings, discussions, and working laboratories at the farm. Enrollment Limit: 12. Instructor: B. Masi Prerequisites & Notes ENVS 101 and BIOL 120. Consent of instructor is required.
