PHIL 126 - Problems of Philosophy

This course will introduce students to the methods of philosophy and to many of the main issues of contemporary philosophy. The following issues will be investigated: evidence for and against the existence of God, whether there is any intrinsic meaning to life, whether there are any objective moral standards, free will and responsibility, skepticism and the grounds of knowledge, consciousness and the physical world, and the nature of persons. Enrollment Limit: 30.
