ATHL 180 - Basic Self Defense for Women Semester Offered: First Semester, First Module, Second Semester, First Module Credits (Range): 0.5 hours Attribute: 0.5EX
This course teaches the Rape Aggression Defense System (RAD), which is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. The RAD system is a comprehensive course for women that begin with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance while progressing onto the basics of hands on defense training. The class will include lectures of awareness, demonstrations of techniques, options of escape and full contact simulation. Enrollment Limit: 20. Instructor: R. Gresco Prerequisites & Notes Note: CR/NE or P/NP grading.
