Semester Offered: First Semester Credits (Range): 2 Hours What kinds of environments encourage learning that lasts? Readings, dialogues, and case studies frame this seminar in which participants discuss classroom management and the creation of learning environments responsive to the needs of children and those members of the community who are so integral to the learning process. As part of an ongoing reflective process, students will maintain field experience journals and begin the yearlong process of compiling a teaching portfolio. Consent of the instructor required.
