The practice of painting is predominantly concerned with the physical act of seeing. In this course students will be exposed to the traditions of painting from observation. Through studies, critiques, and demonstrations students will learn how to apply the fundamentals of color, form, texture, and mark to render the three-dimensional world on a two-dimensional surface. This course will encourage critical thinking, vocabulary, and overall understanding of how painting functions. Enrollment Limit: 12. Instructor: T. Callaghan
