Semester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 3 Hours Attribute:3 SS, CD This class disputes the claim that Africans have immutable “tribal” identities, exploring instead not only the fluidity of African identities but also the ways in which these identities both shape and are shaped by global forces during Imperialism, Trans-Atlantic slave trade, colonial and post independence periods.
