ARTS 200 - Approaches to Western Art Semester Offered: First Semester, Second Semester Credits (Range): 3 hours Attribute: 3HU, WR (see Notes Below) This course introduces students to the materials and methods of art history. Though arranged chronologically, the class is not a survey. Instead, we address central art historical topics such as technique, style, iconography, the status of the artist and art’s relationship with its original context. Enrollment Limit: 30 Instructor: S.
