POLT 900 - OCEAN: International Relations Semester Offered: First Semester, Second Semester Credits (Range): 1-3 hours This course introduces major theoretical approaches to international relations, such as realism, institutionalism, and critical theories; basic concepts such as sovereignty, diplomacy, foreign policy-making, deterrence, compellance, human rights and globalization; challenging topics such as war, peace, poverty and wealth, international migration and environmental change; and centrally important organizations such as the United Nations, the European Union, NATO and other regional organizations, and non-state actors such as Amnesty International. Instructor: Staff Prerequisites & Notes Notes: Off Campus concurrent enrollment equivalent to Politics 120 or 121.
