RELG 218 - Christianity in the Late Medieval World: 1100-1600 Semester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 3 hours Attribute: 3HU An interpretive study of late-medieval Christianity through reform movements from the twelfth-century renaissance to the Protestant and Catholic reformations of the sixteenth century, all of which tried to retrieve an idealized past. Topics include clerical authority and abuse, the role of women, free will, grace, embodiment, asceticism, mysticism, and heresy.
