TECH 202 - Real-time Techniques Semester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 3 Hours Creation and transcription of music for performance under computer control. Introduction to MAX, an object-oriented, interactive musical programming language. Concept and design of computer instruments. Introduction to theories of digital sound generation, sampling, and editing. Investigation of timbre synthesis by means of frequency modulation. Practical work with computers.
