ARTS 051 - Visual Concepts and Processes: Introduction to New Media Practices I

Students will be introduced to technical, creative, and theoretical concerns of new electronic imaging technologies. Through hands-on incremental projects, we will cover a broad spectrum of topics related to computation and design software: Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Design Premium and Adobe Dreamweaver. Students will develop basic understanding and skills with non-interactive and interactive media processes. Works by contemporary digital artists and designers will be examined regularly.
