ARTS 059 - Visual Concepts and Processes: Introduction to New Media Practices II Semester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 3 hours Attribute: 3HU This class will lay the foundation for using the web as an expressive medium through interactive projects. An understanding will be gained of the fields of interactive media and time-based art, and web development skills to create art projects for the Internet. We will examine the social aspects of technology and media and its relationship to culture, politics and social change. The course will cover Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver, JavaScript and ActionScript.
