Has the web, social media, texting and blogging changed how we write? Have previous revolutions in writing, like the invention of the printing press, altered how people write? This course will ask these and other questions. We will discuss how writing tools –from pencils to typewriters to smartphones–change what we write, how we think and, even, who we are.
