EDUA 570 - Graduate Workshop: Ohio and the Spanish Civil War Semester Offered: Summer 2010 Credits (Range): 1 Hour Attribute: 1 EX The Spanish Civil War (1936-39), in which almost 3,000 Americans—including more than 100 Ohioans—joined the fight against fascism, is an outstanding pedagogical tool to introduce the major historical, political, and cultural issues that marked the evolution of twentieth-century history and culture, helping students understand the extent to which political ideas and ideals can shape people’s lives and move them to make difficult and sometimes dangerous choices.
