TECH 203 - Performance Technology Workshop

TECH 203 concentrates on real-time technologies and performance issues.  The course emphasizes direct experience with the volatile and wonderful relationship between emerging technology and performance, particularly in work crated for public presentation outside the studio environment.  A variety of performance situations will be addressed, including concert state, MIDI and OSC controllers, installation, and radio/web broadcast.  Topics include: real-time performance issues, sonic and visual systems, motion sensing, performative gesture, ensemble dynamics, and collaboration.
