MUTH 448 - Introduction to Schenkerian Analysis Semester Offered: Second Semester Credits (Range): 3 hours Attribute: CNDP An introduction of the theories of Heinrich Schenker through analysis, reading, lectures, and class discussion. The main sources are Oswald Jonas’ Introduction and Schenker’s Five Graphic Music Analyses. Music analyzed is principally from works by composers of the 18th and 19th centuries.
