A standard introduction to statistics for students with a good background in mathematics. Topics covered include exploratory data analysis, descriptive statistics, probability, sampling, estimation, and statistical inference. Biological and medical examples are emphasized. Statistical software is introduced, but no prior computer experience is assumed. Enrollment Limit: 32 Instructor: J. Witmer Consent of the Instructor Required: Yes Prerequisites & Notes Prerequisite: An appropriate score on the Statistics Readiness Exam. Note: The statistical content of this course is largely the same as STAT 113; the applications are different. Students may not receive credit for more than one of STAT 113 and STAT 114.
