Beginning in 1675, North American colonial life shattered. In Massachusetts, simmering tension resulted in King Philip’s War, arguably the bloodiest conflict in American history. In 1676, Bacon’s Rebellion in Virginia began as a broad Indian conflict. Several years later Spanish settlers were pushed out of New Mexico by the Pueblo Revolt, returning control to Native Americans. This class will explore the three conflicts and the forces that relate and distinguish them. Enrollment Limit: 12 Instructor: J. Ragosta Consent of the Instructor Required: Yes
