This course is designed for artist-teachers who will explore (1) strategies for teaching in diverse teaching settings; (2) music-making experiences in addition to traditional ensembles (technology, alternative instruments, improvisation/composition); (3) resources for teaching music in a variety of music teaching settings; (4) foundations and current trends of music teaching and learning in global contexts; and (5) strategies for becoming effective communicators and facilitators.
