This course will focus on the philosophical systems of René Descartes, Nicolas Malebranche, Baruch Spinoza, and Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibniz and their critics, including Princess Elisabeth of Bohemia, Duchess Margaret Cavendish, Lady Anne Conway, Lady Damaris Masham, and Samuel Clarke.
