HIST 485 - The Past and Future of Higher Education Semester Offered: First Semester Full Course Credits: 4 credits Attribute: 4SS
This course will examine the past promises of U.S. higher education and investigate the forces shaping its future. We will explore the ideals of a liberally educated public, the role of public education in a privatized world, the challenges of new pedagogies and technologies to traditional modes of educational delivery, the student debt crisis, and how to construct an integrated educational model.
