This class will examine current issues facing private and public higher education. Topics may include government oversight and financial support, access and affordability, student preparedness, diversity, inclusion, and changing demographics, advances in technology, cost pressures, concerns about value and outcomes (return on investment), student loans, trends in philanthropic support, athletics and others. Several writing assignments and at least one group project.
