Students who register for the Professional Development Speaker Series will be required to attend 10 Professional Development events over the duration of the semester. Activities include panel sessions, workshops led by the Director of Professional Development and Q&As with visiting artists that cover a wide range of music career topics. Guest artists with expertise in arts entrepreneurship will provide talks on the practical skills necessary to thrive as a professional musician. Student will be required to research the visiting artists, prepare questions to aid in own work. In addition to the guest presenters, Fall workshops from the Professional Development Office will include Résumé Building for Musicians, DIY Audio and Video Editing, Crowdfunding, Tools For Innovation, and Funding Your Project.
