Analysis of the modern theory and empirical evidence about the organization of firms and industries, why firms and industries take on particular forms, and what is the impact of that organization on market outcomes for consumers and producers. Specific topics include monopoly behavior, strategic firm behavior in markets with ‘few firms,’ mergers, antitrust, governmental regulation, and consumer welfare. Enrollment Limit: 20 Instructor: V.
