How have different streams of Jewish tradition grappled with questions of sexual ethics? This course will
examine ways the Jewish tradition has grappled with sexuality, and the roles sex and sexuality have played in
situating Jews in the broader world and in situating groups of people within Judaism itself. We will also engage a
set of particular questions that animate contemporary discussions of sexual morality, including menstrual
