ARBC 101 - Beginning Arabic I

This is an introductory course to Arabic language and culture and requires no previous knowledge of Arabic. The course begins with the alphabet and the number system and introduces students to a range of topics such as self-identification, family, travel, food, housing, study, weather, etc. By the end of the semester, students will have reached the Novice Mid/High level of proficiency in Arabic based on the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines 2012. Students at this sublevel are able to handle a limited number of communicative tasks about familiar topics.
