ARTS 015 - Visual Concepts and Processes: Through the Matrix

This fast-paced intense course introduces students to intaglio and lithographic printing processes, while emphasizing conceptual and technical development. Through exploring the plate matrix, students will translate hand-drawn and photographic methods into prints. Students are encouraged to develop personal directions for their work as they investigate these highly technical and influential forms of reproducible media. Class consists of demonstrations, lectures, discussions, and critiques. Students are expected to complete assignments and contextual research outside of class time.
