FREN 321 - Pratiques de l’écrit Semester Offered: First Semester Full Course Credits: 4 credits Attribute: 4HU, CD, WINT
This course focuses on developing writing skills and personal expression in French in genres such as expository writing, close reading, creative writing, cultural studies, and visual analysis. Cultural topics will include French lycée and university, the banlieue and beaux quartiers, visual analysis of artworks by francophone artists such as Paul Cézanne, Malick Sibidé, Félicien Rops and the novel Génocidé by Franco-Rwandan author Révérien Rurangwa. Taught in French.

Prerequisites & Notes: Appropriate SAT II score (675-800), appropriate score on placement test, FREN 301 or FREN 309.
