LATN 202 - Intermediate Latin II: Roman L Semester Offered: Second Semester Full Course Credits: 4 credits Attribute: 4HU, CD
The Roman philosopher, tragedian, and politician Seneca had the unenviable assignment of tutoring the young emperor Nero; later, that same emperor had him put to death. In this class, we will read selections from Seneca’s works, while developing our abilities in Latin prose. We will also pay some attention to scholarly criticism of Seneca’s treatises.
