ARTS 039 - Visual Concepts and Processes: Re-Imagining the Book Semester Offered: Second Semester Full Course Credits: 4 credits Attribute: 4HU
This course will explore and expand upon the book as a textual object of art. Using narrative and non-narrative techniques in relation to concept, content, image, and form, students will design and construct a series of books.Techniques such as composition, binding, basic photoshop, and image transfer techniques will be covered. Attendance at special Art Department lectures are required as are class visits to view selected works in the Artists’ Books Collection at the Clarence Ward Art Library.
