ENVS 390 - Sustainable CitiesMode(s) of Instruction: In-person FC SSCI 4 credits Humans are now an urban species with more people living in cities than in rural areas. This course will examine the economic, social and environmental causes and implications of this transition. We will consider the opportunities and design challenges of urban sustainability, concepts and techniques of urban and regional analysis, and contemporary approaches to sustainable urban planning and design. One or two weekend field trips are required for this course. In a global and cross-cultural context. Prerequisites & Notes: ENVS 101 and consent of instructor.
