ENGL 203 - Early British Literature: Points of DepartureFC ARHU WINT 4 credits How does English literature begin? This course will introduce some of the most influential texts of the British tradition before 1700, texts that survived the centuries to become touchstones for writers around the globe. Authors will include Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, and Donne. Medieval texts will be read in modern translation. British, Pre-1700.
