POLT 240 - Militarization of Global Politics, Economy & SocietyHC SSCI CD 2 credits Organized by the International Studies Program, this interdisciplinary, mini-course will invite a large number of expert speakers to cover pressing issues of the militarization of global politics, economy, and society in recent history and current international affairs. Course sessions will take the form of lectures or panels with external speakers coming from various disciplines and areas of expertise. Topics covered will include; militarization of U.S. politics, economy & society; constitutional & international legal dimensions global militarism; arms trade and the U.S. Middle East/South Asia; armed conflicts in East Asia; military institutions and the state in Latin America.
