EDUA 320 - Children and Society: Is There Still a Childhood?FC ARHU 4 credits Through the lenses of children’s literature, developmental psychology and sociological and historical research we will explore the historical role of children and childhood and then examine some of the social, educational and economic issues affecting children and childhood in U.S. society today. Individual and group research will include interviews and library work. The last third of the course will be seminar-based with students sharing research. Field trip(s) required.: Prerequisites & Notes: Sophomore level or higher.
