This course will focus on contemporary British fiction by and about Caribbean, African, and South Asian migrants in London, including work by such writers as Salman Rushdie, Hanif Kureishi, and Zadie Smith. The course will also draw on theater performances, literary/cultural events, and meetings with writers and scholars. British, Post-1900. Field trips required.
