FCNSMAQFR4 credits A first course in discrete dynamical systems in dimensions one and higher. Topics include hyperbolicity, bifurcations, symbolic dynamics, chaos and fractals. Student projects, consisting of a presentation and an expository paper, will be based on independent reading.
