EAST 276 - Modern Korean HistoryFC SSCI CD 4 credits This course will examine the major events, issues and personalities in Korea’s modern history from the late nineteenth century to 1953. Combining the methods and approaches associated with the discipline of history and historical anthropology, the aim of this course is to provide students with a broad knowledge of Korea’s modern history in the context of East Asian development and modernization.
