ECON 449 - Seminar: Economics and ImmigrationFC SSCI WINT 4 credits This seminar examines the movement of people between countries from an economics perspective. We will discuss the incentives for immigration, the economic impact of immigrants arrival in a new country and on the country of origin. We will examine theoretical models drawn from macro, public, labor and international economics and consider both policies real and imagined and empirical evidence. Students will write, revise and present an original research paper related to this topic. Prerequisites & Notes: ECON 251, ECON 253, and ECON 255, or consent of instructor.
