BIOL 018 - The Biology and Evolution of ColorHC NSMA 2 credits The world is colorful and these colors are often integral to the survival of many organisms. This course is a study of the functions and evolution of biological colors, the mechanisms behind color production, and how different organisms perceive color. Lectures and discussions will be based on readings from primary literature. On-campus field trips to the Allen Memorial Art Museum and outside in nature will complement lecture material.
