NSCI 343 - Principles of Clinical NeuroscienceFC NSMA 4 credits Principles of Clinical Neuroscience will provide foundational information about the anatomical and physiological principles of brain functioning, as well as, an overview of the biological bases of major psychological, motor, and neurodegenerative disorders. The course will also dive into known anatomical and physiological mechanisms underlying specific psychological disorders (ex. major depressive and bipolar disorders, and schizophrenia), neurodegenerative diseases (ex. Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases), as well as developmental disorders (ex. Autism Spectrum Disorder). The goal of this course is to help prepare students for health-related fields such as nursing, physical therapy, and medical school.
Prerequisites & Notes: NSCI 201, or consent of instructor
