GEOL 331 - Sedimentology and TectonicsFC NSMA 4 credits This course examines sedimentary systems in relation to tectonic processes. We will learn about how sediment records episodes of mountain growth, volcanism, and earthquakes! In addition, we will learn and employ techniques used to interpret tectonics from the sediment record. Strong emphasis is placed on practical, hands-on approaches that integrate lessons from other courses in both lab and field. Field trips required.
