GERM 307 - The World Through German Eyes: Approaching German Media

What do Germans think and say about us and the events we follow around the globe? What sort of things does the average German read about that we may never even hear of? This course explores the world as Germans see it, following the news of the day from foreign affairs and politics to science, the environment, and entertainment. We’ll get familiar with famous German news sources (online newspapers, podcasts, television programs, etc.) and even have a look at German Twitter. The course will require participation in class discussions as well as frequent written work. Course is taught in German. 
Prerequisites & Notes: German 203/204 or equivalent
