BIOL 339 - Disease Ecology ResearchFC NSMA 4 credits This course is designed to provide students with a practical semester-long research experience that involves all aspects of the scientific process in the context of the basic concepts of ecology and epidemiology. Students will work in consultation with the instructor to choose a research question, conduct a literature review, propose and design a study, collect data, perform statistical analysis, and convey their results through written reports and oral presentations. Through this process, students will also gain experience in reading, summarizing, discussing, and managing primary and secondary literature. Field trips required.
