ARTS 131 - Introduction to Sculpture: Material and SpaceFC ARHU 4 credits In this course, we will discuss and create work in three-dimensional space using paper, cardboard, plastics, wood, organic material, found objects, sound, and light. We will explore concepts around materiality, objectness, risk and certainty, nature, and the utilization of space. Weekly homework assignments will expand upon classroom projects. Required forms of participation include critiques, weekly discussions, reading assignments and a presentation. Students should expect to spend 4-6 hours per week outside of class to meet the minimum requirements. Does this course require off campus field trips? No
