ARTH 299 - Methods of Art HistoryFC ARHU WADV 4 credits This course examines the historical development and current practice and theory of art history. Based on close reading of key texts, we consider such topics as: iconography/iconology, semiotics, formalism, psychoanalysis, Marxism, feminism, hybridity, Critical Race Studies and Disability Studies. The course is primarily intended for art history majors who should take it in their sophomore or junior year. Prerequisites & Notes: A 100-Level art history course
