CRWR 195 - The Practice of Writing

This course is for students at all levels of the college and conservatory who wish to explore and deepen their commitment to writing and understanding of craft by completing a rigorous series of daily exercises. Each week, students will attend a discussion about an element of craft, focusing on diverse texts that exemplify and complicate that theme. Students will then complete a targeted series of five exercises (one for each day of the work week) related to that theme, and meet in regularly assigned small groups with their TA (and the professor, on a rotating schedule) to discuss individual and the group’s responses to the exercises.
